Tecumseh winters do not leave much time for a second visit. If the furnace stops, the useful question is whether the repair is a part and a labour line you can see, or a push to replace the whole system on the same call. Both can be the right answer. Neither should be decided from a verbal price.
Ask what failed, what part is being replaced, and whether that part is still made for your model. Ask for the labour amount separately from the part. If the technician recommends replacement, ask for the age of the furnace, the repair total, and a replacement quote you can read after they leave. A same-day decision is reasonable when the heat is out. A written number is still reasonable.
Also ask who services the brand after this visit, and whether the quote includes a callback if the same fault returns within the stated warranty. Essex County nights get cold enough that a temporary fix should be described as temporary, in writing.
For furnace repair in Tecumseh, Tecumseh Heating and Cooling covers furnace service, air conditioner repair and heat pumps.
