LaSalle is in Essex County. Winters are cold enough to expose a weak furnace, and summers are humid enough to expose an undersized air conditioner. Treat the two as one system. A new furnace that moves more air than the old air conditioner can handle will not cool the house evenly. A new air conditioner on an old furnace can leave the same problem in reverse.
Ask for the model numbers, the labour, and the warranty in the same quote. Ask who pulls the electrical permit if the job needs a new circuit, and who services the brand after the first season. A price that arrives only after the truck is in the driveway is not a quote you can compare with another company.
If the recommendation is a heat pump, ask how it behaves on the coldest Essex County nights and whether the existing furnace stays as backup. Ask where the outdoor unit will sit so it is clear of snow and dryer exhaust. Those details belong in the quote, not in a follow-up call.
For heating and cooling in LaSalle, LaSalle Heating and Cooling covers furnace repair, heat pumps and air conditioner service.
