Philosophy

Sustainable design is at the essence of our work.  Our ability to translate vision into reality, necessity into invention, and design into building is made possible by a strong conviction that architecture must be an extension of environment - both the natural and the built.

As such, the work of MSA is rooted in a firm belief that traditional architectural design should be predicated on, and will ultimately be enhanced by, sustainable design principles. We believe meaningful architecture evolves out of conscientious design that is informed by a deep understanding of both community and context. The dialogue between Environment and Building is equally as important to us as that between Client and Architect.

Considerations of environmental design and sustainability are integral to our design process, the context within which all design takes place.  We strongly encourage our designers and consultants to adopt green strategies in all of our projects.
